Vapour blasting produces a finer finish than dry blasting and is ideal for the cleaning of more delicate components. The vapour blasting machines use a water and abrasive slurry to simultaneously blast and degrease which prevents impregnation of media onto the component. One of the major advantages of vapour blasting is that it is a dust-free process.

Vapour blasting is less aggressive than dry blasting, but it is just as effective and has a better finish. Vapour blasting does not allow for media to be impregnated into the component, nor is there any dust created by the break-up of media.

The bigger the better, a 5HP 200L unit or larger is recommended. A 3HP will suffice for hobbies; smaller than this is not recommended.
